We aim to set up the first nationwide, traditional Cornish Pasty company in Australia, setting up outlets around the country.
The Cornish pasty has been a staple diet of the Cornish for hundreds of years. No one is 100% certain of the origin of the Cornish Pasty but it is widely understood that it was the main diet of the Tin Miners who held on to the crimped edge whilst eating to avoid getting poisoned by the arsenic on their hands. In recent times the Cornish pasty has gone from strength to strength with one time Cornish flavour becoming a national delight. A number of companies in Cornwall have now set up outlets around the UK with huge success. One such company going from village shop to £12 million turnover. Traditional Cornish Pasties can now be purchased in most towns in the UK.
We aim to bring this concept to Australia and set up the first nationwide Cornish Pasty company setting up outlets around Australia selling the Traditional Cornish Pasty based on a traditional recipe.
This is a proven concept in the UK and, with the popularity of the 'PIE' in Australia, we believe that the Cornish Pasty will be a huge success as a lunch time meal, offering more value and a larger product than the humble pie.
In the Australian market we feel the closest comparison is Jesters Pies. As the Pasty is made in a factory by hand and then frozen it can easily be transported to retail outlets anywhere in Australia and then cooked on the premises as a fresh meal. As well as the branded retail outlets we also wish to develop a significant B2B market such as other bakeries, cafes, entertainment venues such as stadiums and mobile vans that can go to shows such as the Easter Show for example.
As well as the traditional Cornish Pasty we will develop a series of other fillings such as, Cheese Pasty, Cheese and Onion Pasty, Vegetable Pasty, Spicy Vegetable Pasty, Spinach & Ricotta Pasty, Beef & Stilton Pasty, Beef Madras Pasty, Steak & Onion Pasty, Steak and Ale Pasty and Lamb and Mint Pasty for example.
Based on the UK model an outlet can expect to earn an average of 120k per year profit, with an estimated set up fee of 90k, every outlet will be profitable within a year. And with an aggressive growth strategy we would expect to have 15-20 outlets within the first 2 years. We would expect the B2B market to be as large as the direct outlets in terms of profitability, and be the source of significant volume.
Our mission is to become one of the three leading on-line job boards in Asia & the Middle East within a 3 year period. We intend to achieve this by offering two of the most comprehensive, technically advanced and content rich online job boards in the world.
The business of searching for jobs on-line has grown from niche to multi-billion dollar market, rapidly consolidating an industry that relies on the eager search activities – and employment dreams – of millions of job-seekers. It has also proven to be the ultimate recession-proof internet business. As other technology companies flounder, on-line job search sites remain key resources in the wake of layoffs and uncertain employment prospects;
Australian Skill Trades (AST) based in Orange NSW was set up as a small family operation to specialise in the delivery of skilled personnel to meet the shortage in the skill trades industry throughout the region.
Clients in the metal trades, mining, housing, agriculture and civil construction industries are experiencing difficulties in accessing Skilled Labour.
The shortage is Australia wide throughout all industries in particular: Fitting & Machining, Diesel Fitting, Maintenance Fitters, Carpenters, Welding, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Geologists, Nursing with the Agriculture labour force near nonexistent and some special industry trades.
The skilled labour shortage has affected many companies across Australia including the farming sector which losers some $300 million a year through the lack of skilled labour. We believe, given that we have 30 years experience dealing with these industries, our business, with a financial injection of funds can evolve into a national multimillion dollar company with high returns on investment.
Our research of the labour market shows an enormous gap in the skilled trades industry and labour market. We are looking for capital investment of $200,000 and possibly professional involvement, but not necessary, to take full advantage of the labour shortage situation giving the business the boost it requires.
There are many recruitment and labour hire agencies out there. But none specialise in the skilled labour market and give personal service to employers and jobseekers? If these agencies were doing their job there would not be such a big shortage in the skilled labour force as is the case today.
We are now looking for a prospective investor for development funds to get the business up and running to its full potential for website data base, travelling, advertising, marketing and the setting up of various sections in the overall plan.
The scope of the business is enormous, which could eventuate into a national company by capitalising on the many avenues of development as compliment branches of the overall business activities plan.
A financial business plan along with a power point presentation has been adopted for the interested investor and available on request.
Remasters has developed particular expertise in the area of audio and video restoration
The Company has developed particular expertise in the area of audio and video restoration and remastering that has significant and demonstrated potential for commercial success in both business to business and business to consumer markets.
Remasters has developed software and associated hardware that makes possible the restoration and remastering of analog media such as LP vinyl records, audio cassettes or video tape (either Beta or VHS format) to digital media without loss of quality and, in many cases, with enhanced quality due to the repair of, for example, scratches on records as part of the remastering process.
The target markets for Remasters technology include:
• Consumers with analog media who wish to convert to digital format without loss of quality.
• Consumers with damaged analog media that they wish to have repaired and converted to digital media to prevent loss of amenity.
• Businesses (such as television stations, production houses, motion picture studios, advertising agencies etc.) with a library of analog media that they wish to convert to digital format without loss of quality.
• Organisations such as archives, museums, industry associations and community groups with a library of analog media that they wish to convert to digital format to permit both display for consumers and stakeholder groups and to prevent long term loss of amenity.
The recent changes to Australian copyright legislation will serve to accelerate the pace of change towards the overwhelming use of digital media and, ironically, will enhance the need for the process, service and product made possible by Remasters.
After 3 years of testing the market in Southern Tasmania we are now ready to launch Australia Wide. Since making our product commercially available in Southern Tasmania our sales have grown from $80,000 in the first year to $240000 last year an increase of over 250% (With Southern Tasmania’s population of approx 240000 it’s not difficult to see the potential for mainland sales).
We require funding of $500K to take us to the next level We will sell company shares in multiples of 1 at $25000each (5%share equaling $25k) so we have a maximum 50% stake for sale any investor would also be given first option on further shares as they become available.
We are looking for investors who are willing to help us through to the next level. We see ourselves as a 3-5 year investment. With a huge potential in Australia and overseas.
Friday 29 February 2008 UPDATE
The property below almost got passed in at auction. However, it did finally sell at the low price of 750k. 800-850k tops is what ya could of got it for. Never mind, perhaps another opportunity like this will arise in the near future, but I doubt it.
Sunday 24 February 2008
Time is of the essence because this property goes to auction on Friday 29 February 2008 at 10:30am. The large former club building in question is a short distance from the Newcastle CBD. The floor area is approximately 1473sqm and the land area is approximately 2029sqm with an off street car parking capacity of 27. The front portion of the property is currently zoned 3(a) local centre whilst the rear portion of the property is currently zoned 2(b) urban centre. The club went into liquidation and all the furniture has already been auctioned off. There is also a large hall attached on the left side(with bar) with its own entry, as well as access through the club.
My plan is to turn the former club into a social club/community centre, with the hall and possibly other parts of the club available for hire for functions. Truelly make it a social club for "everyone". A place for all sorts of clubs and groups to congregate. A major club house. I myself already have a few groups created that are still in their infancy, which could also benefit from a club house. i.e. http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/newcastlegaymensclub/ 65 members in the first week and growing, http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/gatewayhotelcomments/ 102 members in 6 weeks and still growing.
Also, depending on council approval, it would be ideal to have a small managers residence in the premises. I feel the building speaks for itself. Don't miss this unique opportunity. I have no money to contribute to the purchase of this property, so therefore I would be requiring the full cost of the former club property and set up expenses/costs.
Funding permitting, I would also like to make this club an "Environmental Statement". Ideally make it self sustainable. i.e. solar panels on the roof, possibly wind turbines also, solar water heating and water tanks on stands in the car park with car parking underneath so as not to take up any unnecessary space. These ideas could be implemented at a further date, possibly in stages. Hope to hear from any potential investors soon.
Yours sincerely
Anthony
My business is a start up IT venture that aims to provide online booking of services to the community. We offer a fully hosted content management and booking engine to allow small, medium and large business the ability to expose their available time slots. This is effectively a lastminute.com or wotif.com for businesses that provide services around a fixed timing model eg) massage therapists, naturopaths, accountants etc. The system is stable, production ready and whilst I am able to provide any amount of technical expertise, I lack the business knowlege and capital to push forward. I am seeking an investor or more accurately a partner that has the business knowlege and time to invest to spread the load, with the potential to earn substantial revenue. We have only one other competitor and I believe that I have a much better product that has been built utilising over 10 years of experience building enterprise scale web applications for the mining and defense industries.
Our company has several managed projects that have been subjected to due diligence and are at various stages of development.
We offer the opportunity to invest directly in projects or to take equity in a fund that will hold a spread of investments.
We have web-based projects, a property project, a franchise project, an environmentaly friendly project, a SME networking project and a continual pipeline of new projects and opportunities that are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
We focus on a staged leveraging strategy which includes:-
Mitigating risk by applying appropriate capital and management structures and measurement tools, and expertise;
Adding value to projects through expert input, resources and funding; and
Leveraging the value created through each stage until exit
I have built a major web site targeted at the heavy vehicles, equipment and machinery market. I need an investor to provide some capital and operational funding for it's marketing, promotion and deployment.
Long Summary:
I would like to attract intelligent accountant types, or persons in the cars/trucks/machinery field who would be capable of managing thousands of paid listings and the bookkeeping associated with such a venture. Literally hundreds of small to medium payments daily and weekly.
Our site will give users access to thousands of classifieds listings, photos, reviews, upcoming events, industry directories and much more. This is a turnkey business model which can be run by a small team successfully.
This business opportunity speaks volumes to anyone wanting to invest online... our network will allow us the optimum base for vehicles, equipment and machinery sales in Australia and the world.
Having attained the top search position for Australian sites going back at least 7 years, my keyword promotions through having the best, most generic TLDs, will contribute to any future success for our business.
The brand is a marketing dream and easy to remember... and by having such a large array of products/services in demand to include in our genre, we'll never have a time when the content is not making sales... on-top of which, membership and community endeavors will not be hard to accomplish at all.
This business already includes, a business name registered with ASIC and the business names registry, domain registrations, trademark papers completed and paid for, operational scripting and user registration/management, graphic designs, HTML templates/logos and a payment gateway already setup.
From the moment you make your investment, we will be able to generate sales with little to no "paid-for" marketing, then as needed, we will choose what methods will best suit our endeavor. From advertising banners, affiliate programs, ad sense integration, newsletter subscriptions, paid event spots, referral based sales, this idea has many avenues for cash flow and many fall-backs.
Some of the scripting included within my business model, allows for "automatic" updating of content through various internet technologies: RSS & API integration. I can lower overhead to an absolute minimum until we decide to grow.
Your security comes in the form of direct ownership of this business if my resolve doesn't satisfy our contract. I will also provide security in the form of IT based assets if required (depending on investment).
This idea will serve as a test model (albeit a proper money generating business from day one), for much greater things... from employment to dating, we can achieve a lot with my 12 years of internet based knowledge. I have the ideas, just not the cash which is required to prevent your foot from being chopped off.
Contact me and we'll have a chat, I am eager to do this right away, so if you're in a position to get to work quickly and without too much red-tape. I am probably your key to taking on the giants of IT.
